We had a great week on last week! We learned about the “Fruit of the Spirit” in Bible, Geometry in Math, Valley Forge and Ben Franklin in History, Famous American, Martin Luther King, Jr. and latitude and longitude in Social Studies, State Capitals in Geography, and The Solar System in Science…I could go on. Let’s just say that we learned a lot and had fun doing it 🙂

*Bible: The Fruit of the Spirit
We are studying Galatians 5:22-23, and learning the Fruit of the Spirit! We had fun doing our lesson and discussing how to show these characteristics in the world we live in!

* Learning and Practicing Letters with Bingo Markers!

My toddler and Kindergartner had a lot of fun tracing letters using a Bingo Marker! Tracing printables can be found at www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com!

 *Fast Facts!
“Fast Facts” is where we learn our math facts using a dry erase marker and a timer. We like to see if we can beat our score each time!

*Art: Paper Weaving!
We had so much fun learning paper weaving! It was a fun way to learn patterns using art 🙂

*Foreign Language!
We are currently using a program called Mango Connect to learn our foreign language. The kids love learning how to pronounce the words from the program, and being able to speak back using a microphone to check their pronunciations! DJ is learning Chinese and Alani is learning French! Mommy is even practicing her French 🙂

*Social Studies: Famous Americans: Martin Luther King, Jr.
We are learning about many famous Americans this year! Last week, we continued to learn about Martin Luther King, Jr. We learned all about his hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. We also learned what it means to have a dream. Alani had fun coloring a picture of Dr. King and DJ will be learning his famous, “I Have A Dream” speech. DJ will also be doing a report and poster board display on Dr. King!

*Recess!!
We had some beautiful weather in Georgia last week, and we took full advantage of it! The kids worked very hard on their lessons and assignments, but sometimes we just have to stop and let them enjoy being kids!

Have a Great Week!
