I have heard it all when it comes to homeschooling and virtual schooling, the good, the bad, and the myths. However, we have decided that giving our son a virtual education was right for us. I have done a lot of research, and the K12 curriculum is outstanding, hands down. It is very challenging for a Kindergarten student, but that is a good thing. This is a REAL school and it exceeds state requirements in my book.
Whenever, I tell people that we homeschool or that my son attends a virtual school and I am given THE “look”; I just write it off as ignorance. Some people don’t know enough about homeschooling or virtual schools to really judge, but even if they did, should they judge anyway? You do what works for your children and I will do what works for my children.
On a lighter note, I decided to show our first week at Georgia Cyber Academy through pictures. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun doing it:-)
He loves the magnifying glass…He decided to practice locating the 7 Continents with it

Language Arts fun…We read “The Frog Prince” and made our own crowns
